Graduates May 4th
Congratulations to Citizens Academy Class 23 |
 Members of Citizens Academy Class 23 were presented their certificates
and received congratulations by Maj. Terry Pickering, who commands the TCSO Law Enforcement Bureau. The presentation, held on May 4th, caps a 13-week exploration of the inner workings of the Sheriff's Office.The 24th Class of the Travis County Sheriff's Citizens Academy is
forming and will meet - once a week on Tuesday evenings for 13 weeks, beginning August 17, 2004. A Saturday event is also scheduled. Information,
curriculum and an application is available online. The Citizens Academy and the Alumni Association
celebrate a tenth anniversary this year. |

The Travis County Sheriff's Citizens Academy Alumni Association celebrates its' 10th year as an
alumni association. We invite you, and your family, to celebrate this anniversary with us.Where: The Training Academy at the Del Valle Correctional Complex
Bill Price Road, behind the baseball fields When: May 22nd, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm What: Open House,
with hot dogs, chips, drinks, and desserts
There will be spokespersons from various sections of the Sheriff's Office, and some fun demonstrations.
Visit with old friends and classmates. Let us tell you what we have been able to do for the Sheriff's Office, and the community, over these ten years. Bring your family
members, lawn chairs, and sun guard. Please RSVP to wdegnan@puremagic.com

Cookbook Project Needs Your Recipe / Advertising |
Attention Alumni and TCSO employees: If you have a favorite recipe in your family that you can
share, the Cookbook project needs your help. Search your recipe box for your favorite Dessert, Appetizer, Beverage, Main Dish, Soup, Salad, Breads and Rolls, Vegetables, or
other specialty we need you now. Download the
Recipe Form (Requires the free Acrobat Reader), print some out, tell us the ingredients,
method, title, category and your name and send to TCSCAAA Cook Book, PO Box 1748, Austin, TX 78767.The Association is putting together a cookbook
as a fund raiser. Proceeds will be used to further our organization's missions. If your business would like to advertise in the cookbook or you know someone who does,
please contact the Cookbook committee. For the advertising solicitation letter, sample ads and worksheet, members may download from our Yahoo Groups site at

Central Command (Gault Building) Alumni are invited to attend to welcome new students. Shooting Team Note: In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
Third Saturday of each month from 0900-1100, Austin Skeet and Rifle range. Range fee approx. $8-10.
