The Austin Police Department's NE Street Response unit conducted a "Jon Sting"  netting over a dozen suspects, charged with soliciting prostitution. Short handed, they called on TCSCAAA volunteers, who processed arrest paperwork throughout the night - freeing up the four officers who would normally perform this function so that they could perform essential duties on the street. TCSCAAA members were among those supporting the disaster exercise, held at the University of Texas at Austin, designed to improve emergency services programs in the community. Here, moulage is applied to patients who will be transported to area hospitals for triage. All injuries are simulated. TCSCAAA's Scott Bennett and Bill Degnan worked with others applying trauma makeup to add realism to the exercise. MORE PHOTOS
